Let's Go Fly A Kite

One night on our vacation Lilypad Dad took Lilypad Princess down to the beach to fly their new kite while I got dinner ready. I grabbed the camera and headed down after a few minutes to check on their progress.

I watched the fog rolling in off the ocean as a I walked down, I couldn't believe how foggy it had gotten in only about 30 minutes.

Can a kite fly in the fog

Lilypad Princess tried to help get the kite in the air, she enjoyed running with the string for a few minutes (these photos have been edited a little to make them easier to see, the fog was really getting thick.)

Let's go fly a kite

Flying a kite

They were able to get the kite up in the air, but it wouldn't go any higher than this and it didn't stay up for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

It's getting there

Lilypad Princess soon decided that the big hole someone dug in the sand was much more interesting than the kite.

Enough of this

These are really great photos! Did you take them with your camera or your moms? Tell LP I love her peach dress. Buby and I were just talking about flying kites the other day. My friend said they are selling good starter ones at Walmart. Maybe we can meet at the park next week to fly...

The beach looks beautiful. I love the fog. But I don't like kites. They make me so nervous and I get all uptight! I like the last picture when LP is digging and her Daddy is flying by himself. Cute.

You have to tell me the name of the beach/town you go to. It looks so cute and quaint and I love fog. A foggy day at the beach is just as good as a sunny day to me!

Please-Please send your Mom the beach pictures!

You did a fabulous job. And with your camera too.... just goes to she when you have talent you don't need all the trappings.
