Breakfast

Woke up this morning to the sound of a door opening. Then quietly closing.

Then the loud tiptoe of a toddler. Down the hall. Down the stairs.

Then quiet. Too quiet.

Head down the stairs, no one in the living room.

"Hi Mommy!" from the kitchen.

"I don't want to go to bed. I want a popsicle so I get one from the fridge."

Lilypad Princess smiles at me with pink lips and waves the popsicle at me. I guess it's time for the big girl bed now.

That's impressive. I think you're right. Being able to traverse the house and get her own popsicle is a good sign that she's ready for a big girl bed.

I'm sure you'll have fun setting it up and picking out some cute bedding.

Oh boy!! Scary. But so great that she's so independent. Buby helps himself to everything now I feel like I have a teenager in the house. "SHUT THE FRIDGE DOOR, PLEASE!!"

well, at least it took her over two years to get to that point... it could have been worse. She could have taken after her auntie La and been climbing out before she could walk. She's growing up so fast. Tell her to slow it down a little bit so that her Auntie La doesn't miss everything, will ya? I can't wait to see you guys again.
