Preschool Halloween Party

her preschool class in their Halloween costumes

Today LP's preschool class celebrated Halloween with a little lunch, some games and dancing, and trick-or-treating. The kids were all dressed in their costumes (the teachers too) and the moms were invited to stay for the day. It was really nice to be able to watch LP in school, to find out who she plays with, see how she responds to and interacts with her teachers, and get to watch her enjoy her day.

Trick or Treating around the gym

They started off with some games in the classroom, then went trick-or-treating around the building. Miss Marianne had lunch brought in for them, and after they were done, put on music so they had a little dance party. I rushed this morning to put together some little treat bags for her friends, but it was worth it to watch her pass them out, concerned that everyone got one.

Lilypad Princess must have had so much fun. It makes me a little sad knowing that my Princess won't get to do stuff like this.

The schools are running into more and more kids that aren't allowed to celebrate Halloween so no costumes or parades at preschool today. At least she still gets to dress up tonight.

Princess, you are the best Angelina Ballerina on Halloween.
You look like you are toe dancing in the hall!
I hope you had a wonderful time at the party sharing those wonderful treat bags with your friends.
You have a very special Mommy you know.
Always choose to dance sweetheart,
Nana
