Christmas Card Outtakes

Lilypad Dad built a nice fire in the fireplace last night while we started our Christmas decorating. We decided to take advantage of the pretty fire and LP's good mood to try and get a picture for our Christmas cards. She loved getting into her pretty Christmas dress, tights and new shoes, but that was the end of the success.

She has listened to our warnings about the fire and didn't want to sit or stand in front of it so I could get a picture. Then we had a meltdown when I took her dress off to try to clean some dirt off (we are still finding fingerprint powder everywhere)and that was the end of the photos. The only thing that calmed her down was watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas (her mommy's favorite)but none of the pictures were usable for a card.

Such beautiful shots. I like that dress and chair together.

That dress is beautiful. She looks so sweet. Good luck with the photo.

Forgot to mention the shoes...adorable. And I agree with Buby's Mom about using one of the outtake photos. They're so innocent looking.

I vote for the one sitting in the chair that is a little closer. I think that watching Christmas specials on TV with a thumb and a bear is the picture of happiness and contentment and sets just the right mood for the holiday!
