Lunch is usually a blip in the middle of the day, something we rush through in between activities. Today Lilypad Princess and I were out running errands, and it ended up taking alot longer than I had planned. LP was so good the entire time we were out and was getting really hungry, so I decided we would grab lunch while we out.
Lunch today was the highlight of my day. We sat together in a booth and chatted while we waited for our food to come. We shared our lunched and talked and laughed while we ate. It was a nice relaxing break in the middle of a hectic day, and I knew as I looked over at my big girl as she wiped the ketchup of her face with her napkin that it was a moment that I will always remember.

So sweet. I can totally picture you guys sitting there and talking away. LP is always so animated and I'm sure there was much to talk about. I really believe that meals are so important, but it's way too easy to overlook them and rush through. I'm guilty of it, too, but we're really trying to make more of an effort. I'm glad you shared a special moment with your princess yesterday!
She must've seen so grown up to you at that moment. We've been in restaurants with Buby where I'm like... "When did he turn into such an OLD guy?" Buby likes pancakes, so I bring him to Perkins (near you) for that $2.99 breakfast every once in a while. If you want to join before or after class one of these days. They have booths, the noise level is good for kids, and it's such a good deal.
