When we first moved into our house, the tulips in the spring were spectacular, but each year there have been a few less, this year there were less than half of the first spring. So I'm making my first real attempt at gardening and starting with bulbs. LP helped me plant a mixed variety in her new garden and around the patio in the back. While she napped I planted Negrita and Shirley tulips along the front of the fence and in front of the house.

Tomorrow I will plant Golden Apeldoorn and Banja Luka along the side fence, probably mixed with more of the mixed color bulbs.

Hopefully next spring I will have photos of all the new tulips decorating our yard to announce spring.

Oh those will be so beautiful! I love daffodils in the spring so someday when I have a house that's what I'll be planting in the fall!
Congrats on the gardening!!!
I love love love tulips.
I hope to plant bulbs at our new house someday!! :)
Can't wait to see pics in the spring....
Although, I gotta admit, I'm really wanting a long fall. It's my most favorite season by far.
