Well, we didn't find the Cinderella dress at the outlet today. They are completely out of the fall version, and only had one (large) spring version out on display. So the hunt is still on for Cinderella's dress, but it was a very successful day anyway.
If you have a child that likes to play dress-up, and you live near a Disney Store Outlet, head over there right away! The children's costumes that are left over from the fall are now only $5.99. And the accessories (shoes, crowns, etc) are only $1.79(and I got my additional 30% off of the sale price as well). The costumes were originally $39.50 each!
For less than $30 we walked out with a Snow White dress, Minnie Mouse dress, Alice in Wonderland dress, Captain Hook costume, Minnie Mouse ears, Jasmine crown, Elizabeth Swann headpiece, 3 fork and spoon sets, and 2 pairs of shorts.

Christmas Favorites
Now that all the Christmas presents have been played with for a couple of weeks, the favorites are definitely emerging. Lilypad Princess has declared these the best Christmas gifts of 2007 for a 2 year old.
Learning Resources Smart Snacks The cupcakes in this set are the source of weekly battles at preschool. So when I told Nana about the set, she decided that LP should have her own. Not only are the cupcakes a favorite, but the ice cream cones are a big hit as well. And I love the fact that they aren't just fun but educational too. The cupcakes teach shapes, the ice cream cones teach colors and the cookies teach numbers.

Jump Smart Trampoline This trampoline holds up to 80 pounds, has a handle to keep the kids safe, and counts for them while they jump. It also has a jumping game, makes silly sounds, or plays music. Lilypad Princess loves to get on and jump, jump, jump. She can get her little feet really high in the air, and has already started trying to do tricks. We have a little daredevil on our hands, but the funniest part is watching her do it in her Cinderella dress. I really like the fact that she's still getting plenty of exercise even when it's freezing outside and we can't leave the house.
Pat Pat Rocket Lilypad Princess has moved Rocket and the Little Einstiens to her bedroom. Before bed we take Rocket and the Einsteins on an adventure somewhere in the world, then we park Rocket next to the Little People House and she puts all of the Einsteins to bed in the house.

Radio and Microphone I can't find a picture of the exact one that Lilypad Princess got, but it's very similar to the one above only it is pink. The microphone plugs in and she can sing or talk without music, or sing along to tapes. You can control the volume of both, making your voice or the music louder if you want. I have enjoyed taping LP as she tells me stories through the microphone.
And the dresses, I can't forget the dresses. The first thing out of LP's mouth everytime you get her out of her crib is "My Cinderella dress please!" She is good about taking it off to eat, but otherwise wears it the entire time we're in the house. And she has been so excited to finally be able to wear "dresses" to bed, we put one of her new nightgowns on over her pajamas at night so she can wear a dress to bed.

Thank You Cara at GreenBeanBoutique!

A couple of weeks ago, there was a big fall giveaway throughout alot of the blogs. I entered a few of the ones that sounded interesting and won a Waldorf inspired doll from Green Bean Boutique. She makes all of the dolls by hand, and sells them (along with some other great baby things) on Etsy.
I received ours this morning, and Lilypad Princess has been in love with it since the minute I opened the package. She insisted taking baby doll to our playdate this morning, and baby doll is currently napping in the crib with LP. These would be wonderful first dolls for little ones, they are so soft, simple, and easy to hold. I can't get a picture of our baby doll right now since it's naptime, but it looks just like the one in blue above.
Thank you so much Cara, this was such a wonderful thing for a giveaway, and it's going to receive lots of love in our house.

A Cow and a Dog
Lilypad Princess has been having loads of fun with her cow pitcher and fuzzy white dog from Eka and Auntie Diane. Nana and LP enjoyed some apple cider together out of the cow and LP loves to practice pouring from one container to another. The little white dog is no longer in danger of being crushed, LP has realized she's no fun to ride. But she enjoys feeding her (which means I get to pick up the raisins off the rug) and LP has given the dog her own baby puppy.

Favorite Things

Lilypad Princess does really well in restaurants and waiting rooms, even when you have to wait awhile, mostly due to today's favorite toy.
Nana put together a collection of small animals in a nice travel-sized box. She printed up a photo of each one, put facts about the animal on the back and laminated them. I spread the cards out on the table, and put a wrong animal on each one. LP loves to help me learn my animals as she corrects me and matches up each animal with its card.
Nana and LP are continuing to collect new animals as a special way to remember places or events (like her new kangaroo to match her Halloween costume).

Hand Me Down

Lillian got the best hand me down this week when Nana came to visit. It is my old "house". My mom made it for me when I was little, it is a cloth house that goes over a card table. It has a door and window flap in it. You can tell I was born in the 70's by the color of the house! I have been hoping that my mom held onto it and was so excited when she pulled it out the other day.
We set it up in the living room with a couple of couch pillows and a blanket, she loves being in there. So far we have watched some tv, read some books, played with her snap doll and take a pretend nap in it.

Monday isn't always bad
We had a nice day today, despite the fact that it was a Monday. Well, the day was better once Lily woke up from her nap. She was quite grouchy at Little Gym this morning after I made her take off her sunglasses and shoes to go into class.
Lily's dad was off of work today, so Lily helped him put together a couple of her toys that we've had put away. She loves her shopping cart from Grandpa and Nannie, I should have brought it out sooner. She went "shopping" in my kitchen cupboard, and currently has a basket full of pineapple juice, chicken broth and tomatoes.
After that was done (and I was done paying bills) we took a nice walk to take advantage of what I think is the last warm day. Lily rode her bike while her dad and I walked all the way to the park. She played on the slides and played pretend in the net.
The best part of the day happened during dinner, Nana came to visit! She's going to go to preschool with us tomorrow and then we're spending the afternoon together. I think we're going to go pick out material to make Lily her own, special trick or treat bag.

Favorite Things
So I'm stealing this idea from Munchkinetta's mom. These are some of Lillian's current favorites.

She LOVES to color. I have to leave a box of crayons on her table with a sheet of paper at all times. She will go back to the crayons over and over again throughout the day. She really loves markers too, although she only gets to use those when I'm sitting with her. She asks for them all the time. Today when we were in AC Moore we went past the crayola aisle and she got so excited, yelling over and over for them.

She loves all books, but this is her current favorite. This is the book my mom gave me for my first Mother's Day. It's a collection of 5 stories, and we have to read at least one of the every night before bed. She likes to read it to herself as well, especially the Stinky Face story. She loves all her other books as well, she spends alot of time reading them during the day while we are playing in the living room.

Dancing in her tutu to "I Hope You Dance" with Angelina Ballerina. Daddy bought her the tutu for Christmas because she loves to dance around her room each night with Angelina. Now they match each other while they dance.
Pat Pat Pat Pat Pat BLAST OFF!
The Little Einsteins are a definite favorite right now. The tv show, the books, the bath toys - if it has Rocket, Annie, Leo, June or Quincy she loves it.

She likes Elmo alot more than mommy does. She enjoyed Sesame Street Live, likes to drag around her Elmo from Grandpa and Nannie that is as big as she is, and likes to talk to Elmo at Nana's house over the Webcam.
She will do anything to get to a computer. Including climbing her toybox to get onto the desk when Mommy and Daddy aren't looking.
Last but definitely not least, Bear. Bear has become Lillian's security item. We now have 5 of them, just in case something happens to one because she can't go to bed without it.
